Comments from young people

"It is a bit disturbing but it does get the message around"
"I found this presentation very well prepared and informative"
"Very fun and educated I am very happy about what I know. Thank you"
"This workshop definitely helps you in the real world and is very enjoyable"
"I know more about drugs now and not to take them . You have taught me a lot"
"I think that this workshop will help people become aware of legal highs and stop people starting at a young age and at all. Thank you"
"I've learnt that you can't always trust what you hear, like with the legal highs, legal was put there to make it sound okay and safe and get past the law and tests. But the effects are awful and don't take them"
"REAL recently came into the college to speak to Health and Social Care classes about the effects of legal highs. I found it very interesting as before the session I believed legal highs were 'safer' than illegal drugs however, this is not the case. I think there is a huge amount of my peers who believe what I did- that legal highs are 'safer' to use."
"It provided me with much more information about drugs, especially legal highs. It taught me about the dangers of legal highs which beforehand I knew nothing about. I found the workshop really effective at getting across their information and was very interesting."
"I learnt a lot more about legal high drugs and this will help me in the future because if my friends get into any trouble I know how to help them and I know where I can send them to get help. It was a really effective workshop."
"I found the legal high part of the day fascinating because it exposed real life cases of tragedies regarding legal high abuse and this was really interesting to understand the extent of the effect of taking legal highs. I think that students have a lack of knowledge on the extent of the effects of legal highs because they are 'legal' therefore leading to individuals believing that the effects are not as bad as the effects of illegal substances."
